The year of 2007 can be regarded as a great year for the institute. It took a comprehensive construction, made a lot of breakthroughs and improved the managerial efficiency. During this year around, all the staff focused on the guideline of seeking for efficiency and breakthroughs to facilitate the three major fields, respectively, Times Electric, Times New Materials and the Institute；and we attempted to consolidate the main industries vertically and expand the related industries horizontally. The sales revenues of the whole year reached RMB2.71 billion, which gained an increase of 30% compared with the previous year and became a new record in our history. All these achievements indicated that we kept the same pace with the aim of the 11th Five Year Plan and the profit took a steady growth.
The year of 2007 showed us abundant fruits. The infrastructure works were put into construction in large scale and have yielded good results; the key industries, S&T projects made breakthroughs time and again; especially, the new industries like electric vehicle and wind power generation, etc, opened a brand-new situation. In the year 2007, CSR Times Electric started to seek for breakthroughs for other industries related to railway. The company mainly develops and manufactures sensors and vacuum sanitary toilet and 6 series of sensors in current, voltage, pressure, speed, temperature and displacement have been developed. Beijing CSR Times Information Technology Co., Ltd.
It is a Beijing Located, wholly-owned subsidiary company of CSR Times. The company is mainly involved in research and development of information and safety technology for railway industry with the developing of such projects as railway informationization, subways LKJ05, ATP and ATO for metro, civil security controlling system, etc. It fully utilizes the IT personnel and the geographical advantage to concentrate on developing and applying informationization technology in railways so as to set an image of CSR Times in Beijing.
Power Electronics Business Unit
Specially engaged in the research, manufacturing and selling of high power semiconductors, it is one of the first units developing such devices and it is the R&D and manufacture base of high power semiconductors for locomotives. In 2007, it focused on the principle of seeking for efficiency and breakthroughs and deepened the semi-militarization to improve executive capability so as to fulfill the annual sales and various key works, which laid a solid foundation for its future. Other markets were expanded in a speedy way, achievements in the field of application yielded fruitful, the annual sales object was accomplished and the market strategic shift was also successfully realized.
Safety Equipment Business Unit
In 2007, the development strategy was adjusted to improve the dominance of kernel competition. With the Sixth Large-Scale Speed-Up and Diagram Adjustment in the Nationwide Railway as a turning point, the whole business unit held together to strive for renovations and fight against difficulties, exploited more markets and strengthened management so that the various major projects were pushed forward soundly and management performances have gained an obvious growth. The 05 type device has accumulated for a 500 thousand km trial operation on train; it passed the first round assessment of Rheinland Certification; ATP technology introduction is under steady progress. All these show a successful fulfillment of the annual target.
Printed Circuit Business Unit

In 2007, the overseas sales volume surmounted USD 11 million. The company explored overseas markets for semiconductor, sensors, low inductance busbar, etc. and succeeded in developing such clients with an annual export over USD 500,000 as Kaluga, Radioelcom,BOC, Indel, etc.

In the year 2007,abiding by the policy of “to consolidate and breakthroughs with projects, to optimize the industry and enhance efficiency”, the company persisted in promoting the overall upgrade via breakthroughs on main projects. The products are used for almost all the new locomotives, passenger cars and freight cars in the mainline railway in China, and is widely used in urban rail, engineering machinery, industrial equipment, and military industry and chemical industry etc. Products have been exported in large quantities to the United States, Myanmar, Thailand, Iran, Sri Lanka, Canada and other countries and regions in Europe .
Bridge Products Business Unit
The Bridge Products Business Unit undertakes the development, production and marketing of bridge bearings. It formed partnership with an Italian enterprise, ALGA company. Its products covers the general types of basin-shaped bearing, height-adjustable bearing, isolation bearing, Expansion Joint, the increase of bearings, bearings, joints, E-shaped steel bearings, which are widely used in high-speed railway, high-speed Highway and other fields. To expand the production capability, a new workshop constructed since April, 2007 has been completed. It is estimated it will be the bridge bearing production base with an annual production capability of 60,000 bearings and the output value about RMB400 million Yuan.

The system and key components have doubled compared to last year. The trolleybus for Beijing Olympic Games project has realized a sales contract of RMB 48 million, and the hybrid EV for the State Grid realized a sales contract of RMB 5 million. Thus it became the largest system and core component supplier for Beijing Olympic Games project. This counts for half of the electric system demand in the domestic market. The marketing for EV has gained a breakthrough. The company accomplished the prototype manufacturing of TEG6128,TEG6118,TEG6218HEV hybrid EV and 9m PLUG-IN EV bus, and these four types of bus have started its small scale mass production. It successively developed TEG6105 traveling bus and TEG6101 civil bus which has its own IPR. The company sold 8 sets of TEG6118,TEG6128 traditional type buses, 1 set TEG6128HEV type EV bus, 1 set of 9m PLUG-IN EV bus for scenic spot. In addition, it entered a sales contract for 10 set of TEG6128 buses with Zhuzhou Civil Transportation Company.

Zhuzhou National Engineering Research Center of Converters of converters strictly implemented the Eleventh Five-year plan,stressed on efficiency and breakthrough. Dynamic compensator, high voltage soft starter, industrial rectifier and high voltage converter become more and more competitive, and realized a sales revenue of RMB70.02 million, with an increase of 37.9% compared to that of the previous year(RMB50.79 million). Moreover, the contracted value added up to RMB100.39 million, with an increase of 95.6%. Thus it passed the sales value more than RMB100 million for the first time. High voltage soft starter and compensator first applied to military field. The special converter power supply was used for Nuclear Fusion Device, which successfully realized a breakthrough both on its core products' technology and application on new area .
The company successfully passed the appraisal of national 863 program, ministry and provincial science and technology development program. The dynamic compensator gets the Administrative License from the Ministry of Railways and promoted its application. “Photoelectric triggered technology-based high-voltage suspended dynamic VAR compensator used in electrified railway” was appraised by CSR as S&T Advance Award in 2007. The company also finished all the unit test and site test of 500kVA/10kV high voltage converter (using a new type of air cooling) .
The site test of IGBT traction converter system for the 7.5MVA/3.8kV maglev train has been accomplished and was accepted by the State Ministry of Science and Technology. The company also went on with the trial operation of 1.6MVA/10kV high voltage converter. It finished the design of improved H bridge high voltage converter and the development and test of the domestic first DC saturation reactor for electricity transmission. 。

It finishes the manufacturing of 112 sets linear motor with high quality and high efficiency, which fulfils the machining standards raised by Mitsubishi and increased the proportion of localization.

It is located in the south of Zhuzhou, near the Lu Kou Exit of Jing-Guang Express way, with convenient traffic. The factory occupies a land area of 10,730M2, within which 8,203.7 M2 is the workshop. Gaining ISO9001（2000）quality certification since 2001, together with various machining and testing equipments, the workshop is capable at mass production and ability in guaranteeing the technology and quality.
The main products of the company are: radiators for semiconductors with different power, which includes brass radiator, heat pipe radiator, water cooling radiators for converters of rail vehicle, Extruded shapes heat sink and IGBT radiators for GE; series brake resistor device for locomotive, series driver controller and electro-pneumatic contactor, series 110V power supply cabinet etc; series medium and small dry transformer, reactor and electronic transformer.

Dao Xian Times Hydropower Development Co., Ltd. was found in June, 2005. It is the subsidiary wholly owned by Zhuzhou CSR Times New Industry Investment and Development Co. Ltd. It is mainly engaged in the development and management of small power hydropower and has Tiao Yu Tai Power Station, Shang Ba Reservoir Back Power Station (first, second level), Shang Ba Reservoir Left Bank Power Station, with the total assets equals to RMB11 million and installed capacity of 4620KW. Its yearly generated power is 10 million KW/h, and the annual income from power generation mounted up to RMB2.5 million.
Wind Power Business Unit
CSR Times Wind Power Business Unit has 65 professional engineers on various related technologies, among which 3 doctors, 16 masters and 13 senior engineers. They mainly devotes to designing, manufacturing and wind farm consulting and management of MW class wind turbine. In 2007, it finished the manufacturing, installing, commissioning and grid connection of WT1650(1.65MW) wind turbine, which is the largest power wind turbine in China so far. The production and testing workshop which occupies a land area of 10,000 square meters has put into use, and has a yearly production capacity of 200 sets MW class wind turbine.
